Sizes 1, 2, 3 and 4 are ideal for embroidering on heavy fabrics with twisted thread, often referred to as knitting.

The most popular and commonly used size in embroidery is size 7, however finer sizes such as 8, 9 and 10 are fabulous to use if you prefer a shorter, thinner needle.
