Chenille sewing needles are needles with a large eye and are identical in length and diameter to a cross-stitch embroidery needle; however, the tip of a Chenille needle is sharp and pointed rather than round and blunt.
Ideal for sewing and for use in the art of knitting and ribbon embroidery.

Chenille needles are a type of needle used to work best with soft, fluffy and hairy fabrics such as chenille, velvet or wool.
They feature a sharp point and a long eye that makes it easy to insert and pass the thread through, and are perfect for creating decorations and finishes on coats, jumpers and other garments.
For counted thread embroidery on canvas and tight knits, wool needles with points, known as Chenille needles, are ideal, with a large eye suitable for threading thick threads or wool.
Larger sizes are commonly used on heavy, coarse fabrics. Smaller,
finer sizes are preferable for ribbon embroidery and embroidery with Perlé cotton threads.
