WHAT IS THE SAMPLE CUTTER USED FOR?

• Sample cutting scissors are ideal for cutting fabrics and edges without fraying the selvedges.

Sample cutting scissors allow you to cut fabrics and selvedges precisely, making it unnecessary to overcast the selvedges themselves.
The lower blade lies flat, preventing the fabric from slipping, and the plastic handle with ring provides a comfortable grip.
As with normal fabric scissors, the lower blade remains straight during cutting and rests on the work surface along its entire length to prevent the fabric from
lifting and shifting.

Zigzag scissors are a type of scissors used to cut fabrics. They are heavy-duty scissors with thick blades, suitable for cutting fabric because they do not cut the threads cleanly but chew the fabric. Their purpose is to create a cut that does not fray the fabric. The zigzag shape of the blade cuts both the weft and warp threads so that there is no single continuous thread left on the edge of the cut, which, when pulled, slips from the edge causing fraying and unravelling of part of the fabric. They do not fray and therefore do not leave lint or fluff.
