The Prym Maxi spinner is a circular knitting spinner that allows you to create fantastic knitted items such as scarves, blankets and hats effortlessly, quickly and in no time at all.

The knitting loom consists of a crank, a yarn guide, a yarn tensioner, a handle, a plastic needle, feet and a mode selector that allows you to choose whether to knit in a straight (upper position: 1) or tubular (lower position: 0) manner.

With the spinning wheel, you can work with any type of yarn suitable for hand knitting, but it should be noted that thin and smooth yarns should be passed through all the slots of the yarn tensioner to work them best, while thicker and more irregular yarns are easier to work with if they are not passed through all the slots.

Tubular knitting

• Place the Maxi knitting millPrymr on a table with a smooth surface.
• Move the mode selector to the lower position to select the tubular knitting mode.
• Turn the hand crank clockwise, bringing the coloured hook directly to the right of the yarn guide slot.
• Pass approximately 40 cm of the end of the yarn through the centre of the reel.
• Arrange the yarn from right to left, passing the yarn first under the open coloured hook, then behind the next hook.
• Slowly turn the crank clockwise until the third hook opens.
• Pull the yarn taut at both ends and place the thread under the third hook and behind the fourth hook.
• Pull the yarn slightly again and turn the handle clockwise again until the fifth hook opens.
• Continue in this way until you reach the coloured hook again.
• Pass the thread under the coloured hook and under the next 5 hooks.
• Be careful not to skip any more hooks.
• Insert the thread through the slot in the thread guide groove.
• Thread the yarn through the guide slot of the thread tensioner.
• It is important to remember that the tension must be adjusted to the quality of the thread.
• Wrap about 3m of yarn from the ball, letting the loose thread fall downwards.
• Hold the reel handle firmly with your left hand to knit Maxi and turn the crank slowly clockwise. 

NB
While knitting, check that there is always enough slack yarn available, that the stitches do not come off the hooks and that the knitted piece is pulled downwards.
