As the rounded tip does not penetrate the fibres, but rather pushes them aside, the embroidery needles are especially suitable for embroidery with coarser materials such as wool. The needles with the symmetrically punched eye are made of absolutely burr-free hardened steel. For the threading of thicker yarns or wool, the eye in embroidery needles has to be correspondingly large. The balanced ratio of length and strength gives the needles their good use flexibility. The Prym range offers tapestry embroidery needles with blunt point on a card of 6 units.

The thickness of the needle is defined by a number. The higher the number, the thinner the needle. The length of the needle and the
size of the eye always depend on the diameter of the shaft, i.e. the thickness.

Eye
Silver-coloured eyes are characterised by their regular shape and smooth surface. This makes threading easier and protects the thread. Each needle of the same version always has the same eye symmetry.
Surface
Refined, uniformly polished and pore-free surfaces provide excellent smoothness and optimum corrosion resistance.
Elasticity
Carefully studied and controlled elasticity allows flexible working without bending or breaking the needle.
