Which crochet hook should you choose?
The perception of what is 'right' is always a personal matter and is achieved through experience. However, it is necessary to have some general guidelines when choosing which tool to use.

It is true that there are no crochet hooks specifically for wool or cotton. However, it is also true that certain materials are better suited than others for the work we are going to do. For example, to work with very twisted yarns, which are therefore quite resistant and do not require a particularly soft touch (we are referring to Lisle Cotton and Perlè yarns), a steel tool is more suitable.

Steel hooks are undoubtedly very resistant to wear and tear and are suitable for crochet work such as lace, for example, but it is also true that their specific weight does not allow for sizes much larger than number 2.
